Meta Message refers to non-verbal behavior that is consistently giving people cues about oneself.  Meta Message is higher level messages about: The type of message being sent The state/status of the messenger The state/status of the receiver The context in that the message is being sent

Meta is derived from the Greek language, meaning over or beyond.

Matching is the process of adopting the aspects of another person’s behavior for the purpose of building rapport.

Map of Reality is each person’s unique representation of the world built from his or her individual perceptions and experiences.

Loop is the inappropriate, usually compulsive repetition of a specific behavior.

Logical Levels is an internal hierarchy that is progressively more psychologically encompassing at each level. In order of importance (from high to low) these levels include: Spiritual Identity Beliefs and values Capabilities Behavior Environment
